THE BRIEF
To design an in-store merchandising unit that is “iconic”.
Take inspiration from the Walkers brand, products, shapes & forms. The concept should become a new instantly recognisable display to consumers. Something to rival competitor brand presence in store e.g. Coke bottle is an instantly recognisable icon. You need to create a display that will become the next icon in store for Walkers.
The unit needs to be floor standing with an approximate size of 600mm (w) x 600mm (d) x 1700mm (h). However use this as a guide only.
The displays will be placed in convenience stores & café environments.
Merchandising (‘stocking’) of the products must be considered & easy for the stores. Pack presentation & flavour choice needs to be clear to the consumer.
The cost of the display should be commercially viable, however, this should not limit your creative thinking & impact of the design.
CREATIVE REQUIREMENT
Walkers are looking for new ideas that will engage & become the instant destination in store for consumers. The display should consider what their products are made from e.g. potatoes. Simple. A treat.
PRODUCT RANGE
Walkers single crisps (35g) packs. Incorporating the key flavours, ready salted, cheese & onion, salt n vinegar.
MATERIALS
You have a free choice of materials e.g. plastics, metalwork or wood. All must be fit for purpose, considered appropriate for the form & function of the design.
OBJECTIVE
To create an eye-catching iconic merchandising display that will attract the consumer to make an impulse purchase.
